Our Vision
APSAA is the peak industry body for accommodation which is provided for the exclusive use of students in Australasia. Our large and diverse membership includes directors and professional staff from commercial providers (PBSA), universities, private residential colleges and individuals.
Setting industry guidelines, APSAA advocates on relevant issues to government and key stakeholders on behalf of the industry. We also do this through our annual conference, networking, education and state events held throughout the year, our training institute and collaborative partnerships. We publish a student accommodation journal for all members and industry professionals four times yearly, a monthly newsletter, and we regularly update members via social media campaigns. We provide a range of resources for our members to access, and are sought out by the media to provide statements to the press on behalf of the industry.
The core purpose of APSAA is to:
- Support and encourage the professional development of our members
- Support and facilitate quality standards of service delivery in student housing
- Facilitate sustainability of student housing as an industry advocate for the economic and pedagogical benefits as
a result of standards in student housing services
- To be the leading professional organisation providing our members access to information and resources
- To be a leading Association that delivers professional development to its members
