AP Marine was formed in 2003, to carry out research and provide consultancy services in fisheries, aquaculture and the marine environment. The company specialises in, and limits its activities to the marine environment and was the first company that provided this type of consultancy service in Cyprus. The company provides consultancy services based on scientific knowledge and know how and advises both the private and public sectors in Cyprus. AP Marine is staffed by marine scientists and provides a full range of services including field sampling, laboratory analysis and reporting. The company capabilities include field surveys including sampling at sea from its own 9m coastal research vessel which also acts as a diving platform. Samples can be analysed at the company's laboratory and office facilities which is equipped to deal with all types of marine samples. Following analysis qualitative, quantitative and interpretative assessment is carried out to produce reports, environmental impact assessments, scientific documents and publications. Research projects are carried out in collaboration with a variety of partners including Governmental Bodies, Research Institutes and Universities, NGO’s and Private companies and private researchers. Project management services are also provided to the aquaculture and fisheries sector. AP Marine regularly accepts students from Universities for work placements and thesis studies.
