Since 1940 Altuna Metal Works S.L. (AMW) has been developing its activity in the copper alloys casting and rolling sector.
Our facilities, with more than 10,000m² are located in Aretxabaleta (Basque Country, Spain), and count with:
- 2 horizontal continuous casting lines with a capacity of 600kg/h in each unit
- Different annealing furnaces and various rolling mills for the different stages of thickness
- Chemical and mechanical stripping to guarantee surfaces free of oxides and greasy residues.
- Cutting line.
- Packaging line customized to the needs of each client.
Our service vocation and our commitment to progress from the beginning, in addition to the investments made in the digitization of our processes, allow us to offer personalized attention to each client.
This results in reduced delivery times in batches suited to our customer’s needs and a "Just in time" service in the supply of copper alloys.
AMW can cover your needs of Brass and Nickel Silver coils from our own European cast house and rolling shop.
We reach out any world location.
As a fundamental part of the revaluation cycle in the treatment of materials, AMW has committed to reducing its environmental impact by reducing its footprint and improving the sustainability of the value chain, through the adoption of a circular economy, which implies the recovery of materials. acquiring 100% of our raw materials from our own clients (maquila) as well as from local junkyards (Km 0), thus also reducing Co2 emissions derived from its logistics.
In addition, as part of this commitment, all the energy used in our manufacturing processes comes from renewable energies.
For us, metal recovery is really important for sustainability and environmental protection, since mining, extraction and production of metals are energy-intensive processes that can cause significant damage to ecosystems, including soil degradation, pollution of the air and water, and the destruction of natural habitats.
