Our mission is to promote the learning and critical understanding of the history of WWII in Asia and the atrocities of war, to affirm the values of justice, peace and reconciliation from a humanity perspective.
To activate historical memory and dialogue, not to lay blame, but to promote reconciliation, healing, closure and cross-cultural understanding.
We achieve this mission through education and advocacy initiatives along four directions: engaging educators and students, empowering youth, supporting research, and connecting with the community.
ALPHA Education programs, initiatives, and events aim to develop the values of humanity, equity, and diversity. By representing and reflecting the human side of histories of war, colonialism, and imperialism, contemporary issues of racism, discrimination and hate, gender and forced labour inequities and violence, ethics and empathy, identity and belonging are explored and addressed.
