ALICE BLACK is a London based art gallery, established in 2017.
Initially working as a project space and itinerant exhibition programme, in 2022 the gallery formalised its roster and now represents seven post-war and contemporary artists, working across a range of mediums and conceptual concerns.
Interdisciplinary in its focus, the programme is underpinned by a strong emphasis on materiality and the handmade, alongside a commitment to supporting artists whose practices address the socio, political and environmental challenges of our time.
Amongst those represented are Rachael Bailey (b. 1975, Kent, UK); Ivan Black (b. 1972, London, UK), Dante Elsner (1920-1997, Krakow, Poland), Matthew Harris (b. 1966, Stroud, UK), Tristan Pigott (b. 1990, London, UK), Amber Pinkerton (b. 1997, Kingston, Jamaica) and Atalanta Xanthe (b. 1996, New York, USA).
ALICE BLACK was co-founded by Alice Black and Matt Symonds.
