Qualified journalist with more than 10 years' experience in local and specialist press, and 15+ years in public relations. I initially undertook formal training with the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ), then completed a full indenture period while working on local weekly newspapers. I then moved into evening papers before starting my public relations career. Working in fields as varied as education, dental health and laboratory science, I have honed my PR skills on press releases, brochureware and online, gaining publicity in local, national and specialist press. I have a great deal of experience in simplifying complex concepts for lay audiences. My work has helped my employers to raise their profiles and boost sales.
