Ajaco Engineering ProdsuctsPvt. Ltd. A 105 years old  company  established by  S. Amar  Singh Sehmbey in 1905  driven by a profound passion to provide  better fodder to cattle, the Manufacturing of Hand Driven Chaff Cutters  was started under the brand name ‘Rangeela’. He actively dedicated  himself to the development of this unit. After  independence in 1947,  a five  year  plan  era started.  A great  emphasis was given to the development of agriculture sector by Govt.   of India. Therefore, it was in 1951 that brand name was changed to   ‘AJANTA’  and diversification was started. Keeping in view of the  growing demand of farmers for mechanization in 1960,  the manufacturing of Bullock Driven Chaff Cutters was started and  later on in 1970 Chaff  Cutter Cum Thresher was developed. There was a Green Revolution in India in 1966 and India became a self reliant country in food grains. It was a real beginning of mechanization of agriculture sector in India. Therefore, continuing the policy of  advancement and improvisation  in our products and because of the  Green Revolution in 1966, a Drum type  Thresher was introduced for the  convenience of farmers in threshing which was  successfully marketed  throughout India. The landmark time was launching of  Steel Gear  models of Chaff Cutters in India and we were the pioneers in exporting Chaff Cutters to African Countries in 1975. The next step forward was the manufacturing of combine harvesters. In 1979, the beginning of mechanization of agriculture sector in harvesting  and to tap the vast market available and the  Tractor Mounted Combine Harvester  was started. We further developed the Self Propelled Combine Harvesters in 1985. In 1989, we changed  our brand name from ‘AJANTA’ to ‘AJACO’.Under this brand name in 1992 AJACO 7500 Self Propelled Combine Harvester was developed. Afterwards many more models of self propelled combine harvesters like AJACO 3500,  AJACO 4500, AJACO 5500 and AJACO 6500 were produced. Keeping in view the requirements of  our South Indian customers (Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh) we developed the AJACO 4500  Wetland  Version Combine Harvester with Rubber Tracks and also AJACO 507 Tractor Trialed Straw Combine Harvester for making chopped straw as feed for the cattle of  the  straw left in the fields after harvesting wheat. Extending the scope of our activities in 2003 that we  entered industrial machinery field and started producing Hydraulic Iron  Workers (Cutting & Bending Press ) a innovative product in Industrial Machinery.  It was a great success throughout India and at present we are selling not only in India but also out of India. At present, we are marching ahead and have a   vast range of Combine Harvesters, Chaff Cutters.
