Die adventistische Entwicklungs- und Katastrophenhilfe “ADRA Deutschland e.V.” ist eine staatlich anerkannte deutsche Nichtregierungsorganisation (NRO). Sie wurde 1986 gegründet und steht der evangelischen Freikirche der Siebenten-Tags-Adventisten nahe. ADRA steht für: Adventist Development and Relief Agency.
Die satzungsgemäßen Mandate des ADRA Deutschland e.V. mit vielen internationalen Partnern sind, Menschen in Not zu helfen (humanitäre Soforthilfe/Katastrophenhilfe) und der Armut (Entwicklungszusammenarbeit) und Unterdrückung (Anwaltschaft/Fürsprache) in den ärmsten Teilen dieser Erde Einhalt zu gebieten. Das Ziel ist eine nachhaltige und gerechte Entwicklung der Menschen zu bewirken. Das erfordert entwicklungspolitische Bildung, Solidarität und zivilgesellschaftliches Handeln auch in Deutschland. ADRA Deutschland e.V. finanziert sich primär durch private Spenden.
