Founded in 2009, over 120 students have benefited from participation in the local ACE Mentor Program of Rochester. Each year, students from surrounding school districts apply to the program with the interest of expanding their knowledge in the building industry.
The ACE Mentor Program of Rochester provides guidance into the construction industry to roughly 30 students each year. The students are required to participate in construction site visits, learn roughly 12 different disciplines of construction, physically construct a playhouse, develop a project through schematic design to be able to present to the public, and observe many other tasks that we as architects, contractors, and engineers face on a daily basis.
The ACE Mentor Program of Rochester is a volunteer based, not-for-profit organization, which relies on donations for scholarships, student supplies, and the development of the upcoming program.
