The ABRT is a non-profit organisation for the entire community of restructuring and turnaround professionals, recognising their background experience, specialism and important economic contribution. Whether an industry executive, aspiring leader or business advisory practitioner, our members navigate risk & financial distress for SMEs and family businesses, saving jobs and creating confidence and public trust which underpins trading, lending and investment. Established 2020, the ABRT's core focus is on developing standards to improve business operatives to identify viable SMEs, enable sustainability & strengthen the economy. Our pledge to the business community & consumers is that when engaging an ABRT Professional, you can be confident of their ability to advise & lead, adhere to an ethical code & professional standards, qualification to act and experience. ABRT Professionals: - are ‘fit and proper’ & uphold professional standards; - demonstrate specialist expertise from a range of stakeholder perspectives; - adhere to ethics, accept conduct & disciplinary oversight (holding adequate PI insurance if in practice); - have reference/qual/XP checks to ensure they are appropriate for an professional engagement or an executive position within a business. A certified professional ABRT member has completed the highest practical level of educational standards in restructuring and turnaround. In addition to having the requisite foundation understanding of executive management & leadership, they will have a demonstrated a comprehensive working knowledge of strategic turnaround & restructuring necessary for a technology driven economy. The ABRT Certification sets a pathway towards becoming a Restructuring & Turnaround Executive and use of the post nominals RTE® and RTP®. This identifies whether the member is in a leadership role or practice and confirms their commitment to ongoing development and business competence at the highest ethical & professional standards.
