9H Research Foundation is building a non-commercial 0.5MW Solar Generation Research Facility on a portion of the private 9H Ranch located in Albany County, Wyoming.
In partnership with the University, 9H Research Foundation is collaborating on driving Energy Innovation. As a result, 9H has made long-term commitments in Clean Energy focused professorships, research, grants, and student internships with the goal of preparing students for a fulfilling career in Wyoming.
9H Research Foundation is sponsoring student design projects including an engineering senior design competition with a prize of $5,000. 9H Energy is also funding student groups to design and build solar prototypes and energy storage projects.
The Student Research Center will generate data used by companies to
determine the viability of future commercial facilities and operations in the
Laramie area. This will help position the University of Wyoming as an elite
clean Energy school, generating opportunities for students while creating local jobs and economic growth for the state.
