The Scottish Chapter of the 89 Initiative focuses its activities on youth engagement in politicc beyond voting and party-affiliation. We aim to do three things: First, to discover why young Scots might feel disenchanted with traditional forms of political participation and do not fully participate in political life. Second, to come up with ways to encourage their engagement in a number of issues and through different mechanisms. And finally, to bring these ideas closer to them to foster young people’s engagement in making decisions on their future.
