8 And Up

We're teaching entrepreneurship in a fun way to the next generation of leaders. 8 and Up was founded in 2013 by a group of parents who also happen to be entrepreneurial. Watching our kids growing up in the Google Age we realize that memorizing answers has become less important than asking interesting questions. Playing games and writing code are just as important as reading books and learning math. We started our company with a single question: "Are we preparing our children well for the world that will exist ten years from now?" Predicting the exact skills that will be needed in the economy of 2023 is difficult but we've been inspired by a growing movement of inspired educators, venture capitalists and creative technologists. 8 and Up is a very simple idea. Rather than focusing on large, systemic educational issues, we are trying to teach creative entrepreneurship to children in fun ways. The seeds we plant now will become ideas that change the future.
