55 North, formerly known as Hyde Park Center for Older Adults, envisions a community where all adults are supported in their homes and connected to the community. While the core values are the same as when the organization was founded nearly 50 years ago, 55 North is focused on serving the healthy, active lifestyles of today’s older adults and their caregivers. The nonprofit continues to lead with a variety of essential supportive services, including health care case management, nutritious meal programs, transportation, and health and wellness programs. New innovative programs, such as Social Bridging, Digital Connect and Caregiver Support Groups, have been launched to meet the changing needs of older adults. 55 North primarily serves Cincinnati’s east side neighborhoods and receives support from the Ohio Department of Aging through the Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio, United Way, community churches, foundations and private individuals.
