About
Chambers was established in 1973 by a small group of Manchester barristers. Through gradual expansion we are now a select set of 80 exceptional practitioners, all of whom are committed to Chambers’ original ethos of excellence in practice. Many of our members have gone onto the High Court bench and to sit in the Court of Appeal.
We pride ourselves on an objective and personal approach, providing clear advice of the best quality. Our commitment to first class advice and representation has led to many of our members appearing at the highest level with cases being reported in law reports and in the media. A number of us sit as recorders, have been selected for the attorney-general’s list and sit in a judicial capacity on tribunals. Our practitioners have also been called upon to appear in the European Court of Justice as well as in courts in foreign jurisdictions.
Client care is of paramount importance to us. Our superior levels of service have led to us obtaining Quality Mark, the Community Legal Services mark of excellence.
Professional clients can be reassured that we have established written procedures for the receipt of briefs and instructions, assignment of work to barristers and for the return and reassignment of work.
