Well let’s talk … Our Concept
At 1213bst, we buy your clothes, shoes, and accessories in exchange for trade credit or cash on the spot. You’ll receive ½ in trade credit or 1/3 in cash of what we price the item to sell for in-store. 1213bst allows you to clean out your closet, make some extra cash, and hunt for unique vintage treasures while reducing clothing waste and keeping money in your community.
… Our Story
1213bst’s founders Bryan and Caitlin Sanderson opened their first retail store Weltenbuerger in Los Angeles in 2008. Over the years, the shop grew from vintage– to concept store with in-house label W by Weltenbuerger. Weltenbuerger carried timeless vintage from 80’s Yohji Yamamoto to Azzedine Alaïa dresses to California linen shirts while also introducing up-and-coming designer labels like 69, Sydney Brown Shoes, Shaina Mote, Vladimir Karaleev, Reality Studio, The Palatines Shoes, or Julian Zigerli.
Bryan and Caitlin decided to return to Bryan’s home country in 2017 and open Berlin’s first “buy, sell, trade” store. Translating Weltenbuerger’s directional fashion approach into a more egalitarian retail structure, we at 1213bst hope to give a large variety of customers a sustainable, affordable, and one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
… Our Goals
We believe that pursuing sustainability and supporting local retail can go hand in hand with shopping for on-trend and high-quality fashion. Moreover, we aim to encourage diversity by offering a wide range of styles, sizes, and price points. Our retail concept is driven by the community that surrounds us and inspired by the customers that visit us.
